GIS

Geographic Information Systems (GIS) is a powerful concept of data visualization. GIS is the philosophy that location is important whether it is an absolute geographic location or a relative location. That the spatial attibute of any data should be recorded, tracked and leveraged in downstream activites.

The GIS Coordinator's Office is available to help students, faculty, and staff at Washington University understand, evaluate, and implement appropriate GIS technologies to achieve academic and administrative goals.

Please contact our office to discuss how we might help you with your project.
