Hi there! In my role on the DGS team, I work in depth on both GIS and data services projects. I lead the 3D scanning initiative in the libraries and have a special interest in digital 3D data preservation and am a part of community coming together to build standards for it. Data curation in general is one of my professional interests and an ever-growing part of my skillset. I manage, implement and support GIS projects as well as offering instruction one-on-one and in classes. I also teach the Introduction to GIS class in the University College.
My role as subject librarian for anthropology allows me to engage in social sciences research projects. In general I provide research support and collection management for anthropology. I love working with this department; the research is fascinating and the humans are kind.
I became program faculty in International Area studies in 2014, which allows me to work closely with IAS colleagues on GIS and data related projects. I’m honored to be a part of this program.
Here are some things I can help with:
- GIS projects
- 3D scanning and preservation
- data curation
- data management and research management
- social sciences research tools
- geospatial data needs
- mapping tools
My partner and I have two little boys, I love music, art and being an active part of my community and society.
