The Geographic Information Systems (GIS) office at Washington University in St. Louis is here to assist you with mapping, spatial analysis, or data visualization. Office staff are available to help you plan all aspects of your GIS project. We provide advice on equipment selection, software capabilities, data availability and application development. Please contact us early in your planning process to ensure that we can efficiently and effectively help you navigate the complex and rapidly advancing GIS landscape.

We offer a GIS Help Desk during the semester in the GIS Research Studio in Rudolph Hall room 183.

Tuesdays from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm

Wednesdays from 3:00 pm to 4:00 pm

Thursdays from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm

A member of our staff will be present to help you with questions or problems regarding all aspects of GIS technology including:

  • ArcGIS software access and installation
  • Data access questions
  • Solutions for mapping problems
  • Understanding GIS concepts
